Details:

Hi,

This bug report follows the discussion on a thread started in May 2009 at:
https://mail.gna.org/public/relax-devel/2009-05/msg00003.html

In summary, using 4 different Linux machines, two failures of the system
tests are seen on three machines while they are absent from the fourth
machine.

All machines are on Kernel-2.6.30, using Python-2.6.2 and Numpy-1.3.0. The
problem was also present when the machines were using Python-2.5.4 and
Numpy-1.2.1.

The two tests failing are:

1.
Constrained BFGS opt, backtracking line search {S2=0.970, te=2048,
Rex=0.149}
    (as in bug 14173)

2.
Constrained BFGS opt, More and Thuente line search {S2=0.970, te=2048,
Rex=0.149}
    (as in bug 14174)
