Hi, It can't be an EOL problem. The patch program tells me that it's converting your "\r\n" Windonws EOL character to the Unix "\n" while applying the patch, but this does not affect the whitespace before it. I would guess that it is your editor's settings that is possibly causing this. While relax code should not have trailing whitespace, there are some situations where it is required for epydoc docstring formatting - equations which use \ at the end for example. Which program are you using for editing? Regards, Edward On 19 June 2013 20:11, Troels Emtekær Linnet <tlinnet@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I dont know why my subversion diff is going crazy. I deleted the file, restored from repo, and only inserted " places=6" And then svn diff still went crazy. Showing a deletion, and insertion, again and again. Weird! Hm. Is it a EOL problem of linux/windows? In the patch there is a lot of whitespace removal from already existing lines of code. This should be in a separate patch as it's not related to fixing the bug. Apart from that, the fix is perfect. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://gna.org/bugs/?20821> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Gna! http://gna.org/
