This sounds like a great idea - a relatively easy way of keeping
documentation at the cutting edge.

My only comment is that a wiki type mechanism is worth considering - it
allows open or controlled access for editing, so not all the work is
dumped on one editor, but takes care of most of the formatting issues in
an easy and consistent way.

A wiki would be great idea. Unfortunately I can't find Wiki capabilities within the Gna! infrastructure (http://gna.org). Would there be another way of implementing a wiki for the relax FAQ? Can you see any other uses for the wiki other than the FAQ?

By using CVS (the commands are almost identical to SVN) and a HTML
editing package, anyone can edit the page - it is a bit more complex
though. A FAQ manager could look after the page. They could ask the
original poster if they would like to format an entry (either HTML or
plain text) for the FAQ and then the manager inserts the text,
modifying it as necessary to match the format of the rest of the text.
