better to split model_free.py into a simpler set of classes and then
have one unit test per class
It has been heading that way. There are currently two classes in the
file, the normal 'Model_free' class and the 'Molmol' class. The later
was because the model-free molmol functions were getting too long.
Other categories of functions could be split up as well.
