Hi,
This sounds a good idea.
A simple web page with just links to the files would be enough...
In fact, http://download.gna.org/relax/posters/ already shows a simple
list of the files.
I think that the only thing needed would be to rename the files more
systematically, maybe...
enc_2009.pdf
-> 2009-03__ENC.pdf
enc_2009.tar.bz2
-> 2009-03__ENC.tar.bz2
Maybe, also, we could have a list of the events the posters were
presented at...
A toolkit for dynamics and how to relax the BMRB (2009-03__ENC.pdf)
2009-03: 50th Experimental Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Conference
(Asilomar, CA, USA)
2009-05: 5th Annual McGill Biophysical Chemistry Symposium
(Montreal, QC, Canada)
2009-05: 9th PROTEO Annual Symposium (Quebec City, QC, Canada)
A toolkit for dynamics relaxing the BMRB (2009-10__MOOT.pdf)
2009-10: MOOT XXII (Ottawa, ON, Canada)
What do you think ?

Well, I could upload them to http://download.gna.org/relax/posters/.
I think all relax developers have write access to there using scp,
rsync, etc. Then a webpage could be created to point to this
location. I think these files would be too big to place into the SVN
repository.

Hi again,
Is there a way to place the posters at nmr-relax.com ?

Hi,
I just tried to create this task
(https://gna.org/task/index.php?6784), but the file attachment size
limit is 1 Mb! Therefore I have closed the task. We will need to
find some other way of doing this!

Edward

Hi,
As long as these are not confidential data, I guess I perfectly agree
that the poster be attached to such a task.
How should we proceed ? Maybe we could attach the pdf alone and, also,
the pdf with the source files. Then, someone wanting to see the poster
only could get the pdf only, while people wanting everything could get
the whole poster sources...
What do you think ?

Hi,
For distributing the files, maybe I could create a task for relax
posters that the files can then be attached to. The only problem is
that this is permanent. What do you think?

Edward

Hi Ed,
Thanks for your comments !
I added the 'bmrblib' name and started printing...
I made the poster in OpenOffice Impress. If someone would like to get
the poster files, feel free to ask.
Ed, how would you like me to share these files for the next time we
need
to update the poster..?
Cheers,
Séb :)
P.S. As the poster is modular, feel free to propose any other change
until October 16th...

Hi,
I've carefully looked over everything, and the poster layout looks
really good. The text hasn't changed much but it is all still
relevant. Maybe one change would be on slide 8 - the new BMRB API I'm
writing looks like it will be called "bmrblib". I might register this
project on Gna! soon so that this code can be spun off as a separate
python package for others to use. API front ends for other languages,
e.g. C and Fortran, could be added later so that this project is
available for all programs to use freely. Adding the "bmrblib" name
isn't too important though.
Cheers,
Edward

Hi again,
Please find a new version of the poster with many typos corrected...

Hi,
I decided to update the poster and modify it slightly.
The biggest modification is the format which is now a collection of
8
11''x17'' slides (with an additional first slide in the document to
show
the proposed layout). This is our preferred format in the Gagné
group
since it can be printed in the lab, can easily be posted by mail
and is
modular (i.e. one slide can be quickly updated or a new slide added
and
included in the collection).
Please find a pdf file for this new version of the poster at:
http://pelican.rsvs.ulaval.ca/users/semor/semor_relax-update_MOOT_Ottawa__v3.pdf
The MOOT conference is on October 17-18. Please tell me if you agree
that I use this updated poster. Moreover, if you find typos (or
other
errors), please let me know...
Have a very nice weekend !
Cheers,
Sébastien

Hi,
It's fine with me. If you would like to change the poster a
little,
feel free (just ask again for author approval). Note that the BRMB
integration is not yet complete as the new NMR-STAR tags such as
general_relaxation saveframe category are not fully complete
(documented http://www.bmrb.wisc.edu/formats.html or implemented
http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/relax/branches/bmrb/). This will
hopefully
happen soon, and then I'll write a quick communication about the
integration.

Edward

Edward, Chris, Gary and Eldon,
I would like to propose you another opportunity where I could make
publicity for relax in Eastern Canada / North-Eastern USA...
I would like to know if you would agree that I reuse the poster
Edward
presented at the ENC concerning the different relax features as
well as
the BMRB integration at the following symposium:
MOOT XXII
http://www.mootnmr.org
Ottawa (Canada)
October 17-18 2009
This yearly event brings together most NMR people from Ontario and
Quebec provinces (Eastern Canada), as well as some people from
other
Canadian provinces (Manitoba, New-Brunswick, etc) and
North-Eastern USA
(Michigan, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, New York,
etc).
Please let me know if you agree that the poster be presented once
more
at this event.
Also, if you think the poster should absolutely be updated, I
could
modify it to included new things and make a new version out of
the first
one...
Regards,
Sébastien
P.S. Please apologize for this 'last-minute' request...
