I think that even before that, there could be a memo?

There is a line:
Relaxation data list
could that be:
Relaxation data list - Add R1, R2 and NOE data for at least two fields?

Or maybe in "About" button, even though that is a little hidden.

The warning:
Insufficient relaxation data, 4 or more data sets are essential for
the execution of the dauvergne_protocol auto-analysis.

Could be changed to:

Insufficient relaxation data, 4 or more data sets are essential for
the execution of the dauvergne_protocol auto-analysis.
Check that you have added data from at least two fields.

For the manual:
Make a chapter
7.0 - Introduction
What is needed to perform modelfree analysis.

R1, R2, NOE input files, which can be created with relax.
Make each analysis independent, before executing model-free
That you need two fields, and the user should read:
http://wiki.nmr-relax.com/Model-free_analysis_single_field
if they have data for only one field.

Something like that.
Not much, but to help people not wasting time, if they start preparing
their data for relax (since they have data)
and after 3-5 days simply can't understand why it is not working. :-)

That will work. For the error, the GUI analysis will prevent you from
executing the analysis. The checks when clicking on the 'Execute'
button blocks a user from proceeding with the error message:

Insufficient relaxation data, 4 or more data sets are essential for
the execution of the dauvergne_protocol auto-analysis.

This appears in the 'Missing data' window with a big red icon. The
execution is then stopped. Therefore adding a last wizard page when
initialising the analysis which explains this would probably be
sufficient. What about for the manual?

Edward

Hi Edward.

I think that a welcome/splash page is a good idea.
Maybe that you need R1/R2 + NOE data for two fields.

And these input files can be made with relax.

Maybe a reference to:
http://www.nmr-relax.com/manual/d_Auvergne_protocol_script_mode_sample_script.html

But I think that I haven't met any warning / errors that tells you
really need to fields.

Hi Troels,

What would you propose as an implementation? One idea might be to add
a new page to the new analysis wizard in the GUI which appears if the
dauvergne_protocol auto_analysis is selected which explains what that
this is the dauvergne_protocol and that data at two fields is
essential. The error window which appears when clicking on 'Execute'
is:

        # Insufficient data.
        if hasattr(cdp, 'ri_ids') and len(cdp.ri_ids) <= 3:
missing.append("Insufficient relaxation data, 4 or more
data sets are essential for the execution of the dauvergne_protocol
auto-analysis.")

This is from gui.analyses.auto_model_free. What would you suggest for
the manual?

Regards,

Edward

Details:

The mailing list has shown that last time period, that between 2-3 users
complain about the execution of the dauvergne protocol.

This seems to stem from the lack of recording of two fields.

It should be very very clearly stated in the GUI, and in manual that
data for
at least two fields is necessary.

The warning message is not clear enough:
Insufficient relaxation data, 4 or more data sets are essential for the
execution of the dauvergne_protocol auto_analysis.

There should probably be added that at least two fields are necessary.
